1740 Broadway

  • Working in fully leased building. We worked with the owner of 1740 Broadway to repositioning the building’s common areas to elevate individuals and the way they work.
  • We replaced the two existing steam absorption chillers with two electrical centrifugal chillers, designed a new 20-ton packaged water-cooled AC unit to serve the main building lobby and elevator bank, provided a capacity analysis of the base building emergency generator, and designed electric service upgrades and new bus duct risers.
  • Improving energy efficiency. To meet the criteria of Local Law 33 and Local Law 95, we provided recommendations for ways to increase the building’s Energy STAR rating and improve efficiency through replacing existing equipment, modifying system setpoints and equipment operation, and retro-commissioning.
  • We construct. We commissioned the existing four-cell, forced draft cooling tower, that served two steam-fired absorption chillers in the basement.
