R&D FACILITY RELOCATION

• Three is better than one. Our team worked with the client to relocate two existing semiconductor R&D facilities, one in San Jose and the other in Arizona. We are currently working on a third location in Allen, TX.
• We needed to make the most efficient space for the lab owners since onsemi was consolidating labs from three different buildings into one in San Jose.
• We surveyed potential new building sites for each facility and met with the lab owners to review how they would use their spaces; our goal was to make sure it worked for them. Each of the facilities included a new gym, locker area, cafe area, air compressors, and vacuum pumps for each building.
• Project Challenges. With limited space, the project’s tight budget, and a fast turnaround, we gathered as much information as possible on existing equipment to find a good spot for the lab support equipment.
