After working with Dropbox on the design of their temporary space, we worked on the design of their permanent space. Our work included all new MEP systems.
The program for their new office included open offices, conference and rooms, amenity areas and some private offices. They wanted maximum flexibility and collaboration. From our engineering perspective, this meant that we had to design to accommodate for frequent shifts in the occupant load so that whether everyone was at their individual desks or all sharing ideas in the pantry area, the temperature would be consistent.
Prior to the design of the MEP systems for Dropbox’s space, our commissioning team tested all of the base building systems. We found and corrected several mechanical installation mistakes in the base building systems. By correcting these mistakes prior to designing Dropbox’s new systems, their systems were able to perform more efficiently.
