Meet the WB team

A great technical challenge
One of the most interesting projects that I’ve worked on was modifying an existing corporate campus to fit the requirements of a new owner. We modified ten buildings on the campus. The original design was a medium voltage facility – not something you see too often.
Balance and control
I’ve learned in my career that it is really interesting to see how the industry changes and how it resists change. A simple example: not too long ago, lighting controls were toggle switches. They we went to occupancy sensors, and completely taking away user control. Now we have occupancy sensors with toggle switches. Lighting is such an big piece of the work that we do – I’m interested to see how this will continue to change.
Something I really like about WB
Technology changes so quickly – what I think is nice about this company is that we change our technology quickly, too. I always feel like I’m working with the best resources out there.
An interest in energy
I’m really interested in energy efficiency. Having grown up in China and I watched closely to the growth of their cities and the need for energy efficiency. I’d certainly say that this personal background has made me more aware of designing efficiently on my projects.
A favorite website
ted.com. I love to learn about all types of new things, and this is a great resource to do that.
Our founders. Our leaders. The visionaries. The people who take the final ownership for our work. David, Vinny, Peter, Peter, Mike, Tom and Craig have a great balance of experience and ideas. They are Improving The Way Things Are Done everyday, and making sure that we do, too.
