General Dynamics Patriot Ridge

When General Dynamics Information Technologies (GDIT) needed to expand and relocate their facilities to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Campus in Springfield, VA, they turned to us for help. We performed early due diligence, site selection and overall program development to aid in the selection of their new space.

Initially, GDIT thought they needed a 300,000 sq. ft. facility to house a production data center, system testing integration lab, secured facility space, corporate office space and a secured conference center. We worked with GDIT to think through their program needs, and as such modified their space requirements to about half of their initial estimate. Because the IT government contractors’ market is so competitive, we helped make sure that their new space was not only secure, but that it also met their goal of attracting and retaining resources.

The Patriot Ridge facility was a huge success. It was delivered on time and aligned with all of the goals of the leadership teams. Through effective project management, innovative engineering solutions and proactive planning, our team enabled GDIT to earn their first LEED Gold certified facility.
