Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Preventing future outages in an embassy's data center

Because of frequent outages, The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands needed to greatly improve the reliability of their data center, and our team was selected to help them meet their goal. In discussing the the project, we also helped them realize that while undertaking this project, it also made sense to expand the data center for future growth and modernize the emergency power distribution infrastructure.

Our team assessed the existing and future load, evaluated the existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure, and then modified the emergency power and HVAC systems to improve their reliability. We were also very active during the construction management phase, which was managed by Faithful + Gould. We provided detailed input to the schedule, budget, and Methods of Procedure (MOP) from an engineering perspective in order to ensure that the Embassy was always fully informed about the status of their project.

Since completion, the site has not experienced any service interruptions.
