DirecTV

A cross country relocation

It goes without saying that there are significant differences between California AND New York. So when DIRECTV relocated their corporate headquarters from California to New York City, we thought about what we could do from an MEP perspective to make the Californians feel comfortable in their new home.

Schedule is frequently a factor in fit-out projects. In this case, that was particularly true since the future occupants were moving from California. Since we had a deadline to meet and part of the space was still occupied by the previous tenant, we completed the project in two phases – keeping the space operational during construction. The scope of work included open and closed plan office space, conference rooms, pantry and a large boardroom with AV capabilities.

In the end DIRECTV’s employees got a new office space and an exciting new city to call home.
