ABOUT THE PROJECT

National Grid, a leading utility provider, faced operational challenges with outdated Building Management Systems (BMS) and aging infrastructure. The legacy systems were inefficient and lacked modern remote-control capabilities. Our team worked with National Grid to modernize their building controls and infrastructure, ensuring the facilities could operate efficiently and reliably.

OUR SOLUTION

We delivered a turnkey modernization program by:

  • Designing and implementing open-source Niagara Tritium BMS platforms.
  • Integrating BMS upgrades with major infrastructure replacements, including chillers and boilers.
  • Leading design, installation, and commissioning of complete BMS systems.
  • Developing intuitive graphics and interfaces for user-friendly monitoring.
  • Training facility teams to operate and manage upgraded systems.
  • Providing program-level support through RFP development, scope definition, and budget-level cost estimates for future projects.

THE IMPACT

Our work improved controls and infrastructure, enabling National Grid’s facilities team to remotely monitor and operate critical buildings, reducing response times and helping maintain reliable service across its facilities.
