ABOUT THE PROJECT
A global technology company required a Building Management System (BMS) upgrade for its mission-critical server and IT testing labs. The existing system was outdated, difficult to service, and lacked visibility, resulting in failures, including a critical chiller failure that required a full replacement of a new chiller. The client partnered with our team to design a modern and reliable system to protect the company’s temperature-sensitive operations.
OUR SOLUTION
We implemented a comprehensive BMS upgrade by:
- Replacing proprietary controls with an open-protocol system.
- Designing the full system architecture, including supervisory servers, sub-panels, and controllers.
- Integrating approximately 90 pieces of equipment into the new BMS.
- Developing a detailed points list for complete system visibility.
- Modifying sequences of operation to align with client needs.
- Enabling secure remote access for continuous monitoring and support.
- Coordinating with commissioning agents to confirm system performance.
THE IMPACT
The upgraded BMS delivers the visibility and control needed to prevent failures and ensure reliable lab operations in critical environments.
