ABOUT THE PORTFOLIO

For more than 10 years, we have partnered with EVgo to design and expand its coast-to-coast fast-charging network. EVgo required an engineering partner capable of scaling with aggressive timelines and evaluating site feasibility to design reliable infrastructure to support high-power charging and network growth. We’ve supported site development, utility coordination, engineering, and construction to bring more charging stations online quickly.

OUR SOLUTION

Across 1,200 sites nationwide, we have provided the following design and consulting services for EVgo:

• Site Feasibility & Concept Layouts: Developed conceptual layouts to determine charging capacity, permitting requirements, ADA compliance, and site viability.
• Utility Coordination: Identified points of connection, verified grid capacity, filed new service applications, and negotiated easements with landlords and utilities.
• Design & Permitting: Transitioned concept layouts into full design sets and secured approvals across 200+ jurisdictions to support permitting with AHJs.
• Construction Support: Provided ongoing coordination during construction to align with utility providers and EVgo’s development teams.

THE IMPACT

Through our partnership, EVgo has been able to rapidly scale its charging footprint, delivering thousands of Level 3 DC fast chargers capable of 360 kW per dispenser – charging most vehicles in about 20 minutes. In recognition of our contributions, our team earned one of EVgo’s EV Charging Heroes awards in 2023 for leadership and achievement in infrastructure deployment.
