ABOUT THE PORTFOLIO

Since 2014, our team has partnered with a confidential defense and aerospace client to design highly specialized, secure environments. Many of these projects have been implemented within existing buildings not originally designed for the secure operations, R&D, and manufacturing purposes they will support.  Adapting these facilities requires reliable infrastructure solutions to accommodate program and SCIF-specific requirements while maintaining operational continuity. Because these facilities support government-sponsored programs, many projects require accelerated design and construction schedules.

OUR SOLUTION

We have supported this client by:

  • Providing MEP/FP/FA engineering, IT consulting, and infrastructure coordination for SCIF environments, secure manufacturing facilities, cyber centers, laboratories, and mission-critical support spaces nationwide.
  • Designing resilient and expandable infrastructure solutions within existing facilities, allowing the client to scale operations and accommodate future growth and changing program requirements.
  • Coordinating specialized secure facility requirements, including ICD 705 standards, secure utility penetrations, and red/black separation strategies for sensitive environments.
  • Engineering reliable mechanical and electrical systems, including supplemental cooling systems, generators, UPS infrastructure, and dedicated data center environments.
  • Supporting complex manufacturing and testing environments with specialized infrastructure requirements, including clean rooms, testing facilities, paint booths, shaker tables, and humidity-controlled spaces.
  • Providing feasibility studies and infrastructure assessments to help the client evaluate existing facility conditions and plan for future expansion.
  • Delivering a turnkey renovation project, including the replacement of the central plant and upgrades to all 14 AHUs within a 24/7 occupied facility, while maintaining project quality and budget requirements.

THE IMPACT

Our work supports secure government-sponsored programs by delivering facilities tailored to our client’s mission-specific operational requirements.
