Global Security Operations Center Systems Design

ABOUT THE PROJECT

We worked with a confidential sports and entertainment client to support the relocation of a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) within an existing office building. The GSOC serves as a centralized command center used to remotely monitor security operations across multiple offsite locations. The client’s priorities included maintaining continuous operations and creating a highly secure environment without drawing attention to the space or its function.

OUR SOLUTION

Our role focused on designing the building systems and network infrastructure required to support secure, 24/7 GSOC operations. We:

• Provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and telecommunications design to support a secure operations environment.
• Designed supplemental 24/7 cooling for the GSOC to support continuous operation of display walls, servers, and monitoring equipment.
• Supported standby power continuity by incorporating a 20-kW standby generator to maintain GSOC functionality during utility outages.
• Designed structured cabling and network pathways to support cameras, card readers, and other electronic security devices specified by the client’s security consultant.
• Coordinated closely with the security consultant to ensure data connectivity was provided for surveillance, access control, and monitoring systems.
• Supported phased renovation and selective reuse of existing infrastructure to balance performance requirements with budget constraints.
• Maintained a discreet, non-branded facility layout to avoid drawing attention to the location or function of the GSOC.

THE IMPACT

Our infrastructure and systems support enabled the client to relocate and operate a secure, always-on GSOC that meets operational and privacy requirements without interfering with ongoing security operations.
