Our Work

The ultimate guide to rest, relaxation, and taking a break(er)

By Julie Pampuch

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

We love the work that we do, and we love being kind to ourselves, especially in a time that continues to present unique challenges. Our engineers shared the ultimate guide to rest, relaxation, and the best ways to take a break when they feel like they’re operating at maximum capacity.

1. SIMPLY DOODLE

Drawings in Revit may need to be coordinated, but doodles don’t have to be! Stimulate new ideas and stay focused by doodling and letting your mind wander.

2. TAKE A WALK

When we feel like our battery is running low, we take a short walk, get some fresh air, and return feeling fully amped up!

3. READ

Sometimes our energy reports come in and the readings seem a little low, so we relax and recharge for a few minutes with a good book.

4. STRETCH

Unlike a transformer, we’ve found that we are not as useful when we’re tightly wound! Get up and do stretches to loosen up and generate extra power for the day.

5. PLUG IN

Listening to soothing music or meditation playlists can help de-stress. When others want to join, plug into a loudspeaker to transform and distribute the sound.

6. BREATHE

Breathing exercises can help you re-energize in ways you wouldn’t believe! CRAC open a window for improved indoor air quality and productivity.
