Business first
Tom spent the early part of his career designing electrical systems for large mission critical facilities. The experience taught him to approach a project by understanding a client’s business first and then design the MEP systems to support the business.
Finding solutions
Tom leads a team of engineers who work on infrastructure, critical facilities, and workplace projects. His team is often assigned to the projects with unusual challenges or complicated problems because of their deep experience and creative thinking.
A memorable project
Tom's most memorable project, the Verizon Data Center, initially started out as a central energy plant but turned into an eco-pod plant, in which the infrastructure was placed in modular containers in an outdoor equipment yard. The complexities and challenges of the project meant creative thinking was a must. And that made the project very memorable.
