We provided MEP/FP engineering design services to relocate and expand Sonus’ headquarters.
The project included 80,000 sq. ft. office space and 20,000 square feet of labs and server rooms. We worked with multiple lab groups to accommodate all of the different cooling and power requirements necessary for the relocation. One of the project challenges was to achieve hot aisle/cold aisle cooling method within the constraints of an extremely low ceiling. In order to make this work, we collaborated with the manufacturer to modify the existing units to allow for an unconventional configuration of return that is rear return.
Our work also included coordinating the relocation two natural gas-fired standby generators, 325 kW and 100 kW, respectively.
The two story fit-out of the suburban office building was accomplished, design through construction, in three months.
