We provided design and project management support to WRC, our 8(a) partner, on the team’s first 8(a) project at the Washington Navy Yard. During the negotiation of the contract, there were extensive discussions regarding the limitations of the existing mechanical system. We were able to provide several options in order for NAVFAC to decide which best suited their needs. Throughout the course of the project, we also led the design-build team to ensure everyone remained on schedule and all issues presented to NAVFAC had a solution.

The team completed the construction in six weeks — a very aggressive schedule for nearly $500,000 worth of work. NAVFAC gave the WB-WRC team an above average rating on this project.
