We developed the design-build bridging documents for the new Winchester Engineering Analytical Center (WEAC) facility in Winchester, MA. We worked closely with the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) staff and their representatives to fully understand their needs, expectations and requirements. Our work started with decommissioning services to ensure minimum impact to the operation of FDA research during the demolition of the back warehouse. Demolition was necessary to make room for the new building.

Our design was based on industrial grade equipment, efficient lighting, efficient low flow plumbing fixtures, medical gases and high efficiency equipment with consideration for energy and water conservations.

We included multiple design alternatives for our client and completed the project in phases so that ORA could maintain uninterrupted operation during construction and transition.
