We are providing MEP/FP design services for two new Class A industrial buildings with office spaces in the Flatlands neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.

The MEP systems will be flexible so that so that the spaces may be split into separate tenants. A unique challenge to this project is that both buildings are being designed and constructed concurrently and as a mirror image of one another and include the same design schedule for both.

One of the most important goals for the developer was to maximize the heights of the racks that could be placed in the warehouses. One of the ways that we ensured the highest ceiling heights was to design an Early Suppression Fast Response Fire Sprinkler Systems (ESFR) sprinkler protection system. This eliminated some of the piping needed enabled taller racks.

In order to meet the aggressive schedule, we are closely coordinating with the architect and other consultants on the design team.
