Our team is collaborated with CitizenM, providing commissioning for this new Lower East Side hotel. The hotel includes 300 compact, efficient and technology-compatible guestrooms in a 20-story building with cellar, mezzanine, mechanical rooms and terraces. It was built prefab in Poland and shipped to New York in 210 pods where it was stacked on-site.
Systems that are being commissioned include HVAC, lighting controls, and domestic hot water. In addition to testing the MEP systems on-site, as the owner’s advocate, our team also witnessed factory testing for the electrical systems.
This project is the largest modular construction hotel project in New York. CitizenM’s hotels are designed to be more efficient than the industry standard by utilizing new energy conservation measures to cut energy consumption.
