Fran is always one of the first people in our office in the morning (that’s after he hits the gym), and from the moment he starts his day, he works hard. But more importantly, he works smart.
For as much as Fran enjoys the problem-solving aspect of engineering, his strength is in project management and leadership. What makes him a successful project manager is that he is all about the details. And what makes him a successful leader is he is a patient teacher and trusted confidant.
A memorable project
A few weeks after he started, Fran was assigned to a new project, for Juniper Networks. The project was a 40,000 sq. ft. with a 4,000 sq. ft. data center with heavy power/cooling requirements. Juniper asked for drawings in four weeks, a very aggressive schedule. The team met the deadline, and this was the start of a long-term relationship with Juniper.
