We’re continuing to honor our engineers this week by
highlighting some great projects that they’ve been working on recently. From
Juniper Networks to Campari, these projects have required our team members to
think creatively and pioneer innovative solutions. Keep reading to learn a
little bit about each project – from our engineers themselves!
Juniper Networks: Working in a live data center, we
had to get creative with project phasing in order to demo and provide new HVAC
and electrical systems – all while keeping their existing servers up and
Foley Hoag: Our team is helping Foley Hoag
consolidate and renovate five floors of office space. From a phasing
standpoint, we’ve needed to be very deliberate about the order of construction
for each floor, so that all the floors can remain up and running. In order to
do so, we designed a Temporary MDF room on the lowest floor. A creative
solution that worked!
Campari: We used Revit and 3D Scanning technology to
help coordinate ductwork and piping with a complicated beam layout. As a
result, we were able to achieve the architect’s ceiling goals!
Confidential e-commerce company: The landlord bought their own new water-source heat pumps (WSHPs) for this 63,000 sq. ft. call center. Our team didn’t miss a beat with this challenge and made sure that what the landlord provided worked with the new layout of the space.
Pegasystems: From having to be minimal in our HVAC design because of exposed open ceiling spaces, to finding cooling-solutions for 24/7 call rooms, to managing the IT/Electrical coordination required to get the combined UPS/Server room to work without having to take additional SF from the occupied areas - - this project was all about finding creating solutions. How did we do it? Through clear communication between all parties involved.
