On February 7th, Peter Dussault, managing principal of our Boston office, spoke at the Boston State of Office, an event held by commercial real-estate company BisNow. Centered around Boston's commercial market and tenant demands, the event covered a range of topics including how life sciences can take the lead on office developments this year, where larger tenants can find space in Boston, hot new office construction projects, and more! We got excellent feedback saying that the event went very well.
There were also several interesting, relevant core takeaways from the event. For example, there is an increasingly conscious effort from companies to place a focus on their current employee's preferences when redesigning office spaces. More and more facilities are also leaning away from wide open office areas and are requesting "team" areas where two to four people can get together and execute projects, and second and primary locations in and around Boston are increasing in price every week.
