BOND Restaurant

Renovating a restaurant with great historical significance

The BOND Restaurant is considered a premier location in Boston for cosmopolitan dining, cocktails and entertainment. Because of the historic importance of the restaurant to Boston and its popularity, this project was watched closely by the public. We were excited to be part of the team.

The project had a $2 million construction budget, and was designed with high-end finishes that both reflect the room’s significant history and introduced modern elements to it. In a case like this, it is especially important to make sure that the MEP systems do not in any way distract from the look of the space.

We reused the existing base building mechanical system and adjusted the distribution system to meet BOND’s criteria. We provided a new 400 amp, 480 volt feed electrical feed to a new panel in the kitchen, new power distribution in the bar/lounge area and a new lighting control system. We also modified the existing fire alarm, fire protection and plumbing systems to fit the new program.
